Skywest commits Jets to Kalgoorlie
SKYWEST Airlines has announced that effective 01 February 2009 it will implement a full Jet schedule to Kalgoorlie.
Skywest currently operates 7 services to Kalgoorlie, which includes the operation of a Sunday F50 Turbo prop service. Effective 01 February, Skywest will introduce a schedule that will see at least 9 services to Kalgoorlie, all operated by a 100 seater, Fokker Jet.
The new proposed schedule will see the F50 service on Sunday’s upgraded to a Jet and the introduction of a double daily jet service on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday’s.
“The additional planned Jet services and upgrade of Sunday’s F50 service will see an additional 38% increase in capacity into Kalgoorlie” says Paul Daff, CEO Skywest Airlines
“Skywest has staggered the upgrade of Turbo Prop aircraft to Jets into Kalgoorlie. We are now pleased that with our F100 Jet fleet more than doubling in the last 18 months, we are in the position to provide a full Jet schedule into Kalgoorlie-Boulder.”
