Skywest to introduce Kununurra to Darwin service
Skywest Airlines announced today that it will resume services to Darwin effective 01 April 2009. The 4 times a week service will operate via Broome and/or Kununurra on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday’s.
The newly introduced Kununurra to Darwin connection will operate on Wednesdays and Sundays.
Skywest’s Chief Executive Officer, Paul Daff said that the resumption of the Darwin service and the Kununurra to Darwin connection comes from increased passenger demand and highlights Skywest’s commitment to the North West and the Top End.
“We are delighted to be able to reintroduce jet services to Darwin via both Broome and Kununurra. This is as a direct result of our expanded jet fleet over the past 18 months."
To relaunch the Darwin service, Skywest is offering special fares between Kununurra and Darwin starting from $99 one way. The special fare will be available for sale for a limited time from 17th February for travel from 01 April 09.
