Skywest to reintroduce Kalgoorlie to Melbourne service
Skywest Airlines announced today its intention to reinstate its Kalgoorlie to Melbourne services effective Friday 5th February 2010. The initial weekend service will depart Kalgoorlie on Fridays and return on Sundays. The flights will be direct and will operate to Melbourne’s Tullamarine airport.
Skywest’s Chief Executive Officer, Mark Shelton said that Skywest was pleased to be in the position to reinstate the Kalgoorlie to Melbourne services and once again link the City of Kalgoorlie –Boulder with the popular East Coast City of Melbourne.
“The unfortunate decision to suspend the service late last year was due to deteriorating economic conditions, including escalating fuel costs among other factors”.
Skywest will be offering special launch fares starting from $189 one way including taxes. These will be available to book immediately, for travel from 5th Feb 2010.
