Fare Rules - International Flights

Please note: Conditions of travel require return travel on all international flights. Failure to travel on the first leg on any international flight will result in automatic cancellation of the return flight, travel will be denied and fares paid will be forfeited for all fare types.

Fare rules on international flights apply as per the Fare Rules - Domestic Flights as shown in the above table with the exception of Refunds and Name Changes due to the conditions of travel for International flights requiring return travel:

  • Refunds are only available for SkyFlex fares on the entire return trip for international flights. Refunds can not be offered on single legs of international flights. *$55.00 service fee applies for refunds processed via the Customer Service Centre
  • Name changes on SkyDeal, SkySaver and SkyFlex fares can only be made to the entire return trip for international flights. Name changes can not be made on single legs of international flights. Only one name change permitted on SkyDeal and SkyFlex fares - $55.00 name change fee applies.
  • All other fare rules remain the same for International Webbit, SkyDeal, SkSaver and SkyFlex fares as per the 'Fare Rules - Domestic Flights' above.

 

General Conditions - All flights

  1. Failure to board a held flight renders the coupon void and no longer valid for travel or exchange (unless travelling on SkyFlexi Fare)
  2. All flight coupons must be used sequentially or are subject to forfeit.
  3. Bookings made via the Skywest Customer Service Centre or a Travel Agent will incur services fees.
  4. Change Fees apply on a per person basis.
  5. Change Fees also apply on a per sector basis unless outbound and return journeys on the one ticket are amended at the same time.

Other Fare Types:

Senior

Applicable for current holders of the Australian Seniors Card. Identification will be verified on ticket collection. It is not possible to book these fares through the website, please call 1300 66 00 88.

Child

Applicable for children aged 2 to 11. Identification will be verified on ticket collection. It is not possible to book these fares through the website, please call 1300 66 00 88.

Infant

Applicable for children up to 24 months. For Domestic travel no fare is charged, providing child sits upon parent/guardian's lap and no seat is taken. A child's fare will be charged if a seat is taken. For International Travel a fare of 10% of the applicable adult base fare (excluding taxes is charged), providing child sits upon parent/guardian's lap and no seat is not taken. A seat booked for an Infant will incur the applicable child's fare. International travel involving infants should be booked through the Customer Service Centre (Tel: 1300 66 00 88)

Secondary Student

Applicable for students aged 12 to 18 years, attending full time secondary college.  Identification will be verified on ticket collection.   It is not possible to book these fares through the website, please call 1300 66 00 88.

Tertiary Student

Applicable for Tertiary students aged 19 to 25 years.  Identification will be verified on ticket collection.  It is not possible to book this fare through the website, please call 1300 66 00 88.

Unaccompanied Minor

A child aged between 5 and 12 years of age inclusive, travelling without the supervision of a person 12 years of age and over is deemed to be unaccompanied.  It is essential that this is advised to the agent at the time of making the reservation. Skywest documentation will need to be completed upon check-in.  It is advisable to arrive at the airport approximately 75 minutes prior to departure.  It is not possible to book this fare through the website, please call 1300 66 00 88.

Please note:

  • Children under the age of 5 years can only travel if accompanied by an adult or company escort. 
  • Unaccompanied children aged between 5 and 6 years inclusive will not be accepted for travel if any one sector of their itinerary exceeds 6 1/2 hours scheduled flying time.
  • It is not possible to book this fare through the website, please call 1300 66 00 88.
  • Passengers aged from twelve (12) to fourteen (14) years of age inclusive may travel as an unaccompanied child if so requested by the parent/guardian.
