Conditions of Service
Skywest Airlines is not a common carrier and will accept no liabaility as such. Skywest reserves the right to refuse to carry any cargo without assigning a reason.
Skywest does not insure your goods.
Damaged and undeliverable items: If the item is damaged, has spillage or is not accepted by the recipient, it will be returned to the sender or shipper (Whomever lodges the item). The costs of clean-up or damage caused by spillage or disposal costs of the item/s will be charged to the sender / shipper.
Whilst we do everything within our power to ensure fragile and perishable items are delivered to their destination in perfect condition, Skywest Freight will accept no liability for circumstances beyond their control.
Labels
All items should be clearly labelled on top to avoid mishandling.
Information including full addresses, post codes and phone numbers of all sender and recipient details are to be clearly written on each item.
Place a copy of the addresses inside the item in case the outer information becomes separated.
Packaging Items
Please note Skywest Freight do not provide boxes or packaging.
Make sure the correct padding is placed around items which may be damaged easily. If item is shaped irregularly or has sharp edging, this must be packed appropriately to avoid damage to the item and the freight handlers.
Heavy items must be secured appropriately to avoid falling out of their packaging during transit and to aid handling.
Electronics and computer items must be packaged with polystyrene moulds in the appropriate boxes/packaging.
Any items that have held oils or fluids (e.g. machinery) must be drained and cleaned thoroughly prior to shipping. Please contact Skywest Freight prior to lodging of these items.
