Question: How do I earn Velocity Points on Skywest?
Answer: Simply register your Velocity Membership Number when you make your booking, and your Points will automatically be allocated to your Velocity Account. Points are allocated on a per mile basis, and vary depending on the type of fare you purchase. You must be the first nominated traveller to receive Velocity Points.
Question: I hold a Silver/Gold Velocity Status Level. Do I get Status Credits for my travel on Skywest services?
Answer: Skywest does not offer Status Level Credits. All Velocity Status Levels will earn points as per the Skywest Points Table.
Question: How do I advise my Velocity Membership Number?
To ensure your points are credited to your Velocity Account promptly, please advise your Velocity Number at time of booking by either informing your Travel Agent or entering it into the Frequent Flyer if making your own booking via the Web. Your Velociyy Number can also be captured by our Check In Agents when you check in for Skywest flight. However, we recommend that you advise us of the number at time of booking to avoid delay in processing your claim.
Question: My Travel Agent says they cannot register my Velocity Number at time of booking?
Velocity Membership numbers can be captured by all GDS systems used by Agents. Agents who are experiencing problems entering Velocity Frequent Flyer details at time of booking should contact the Velocity Membership Contact Centre (Tel: 131 875) or email Skywest with details (info@skywest.com.au)
Question: If I forget to mention my Velocity Membership Number at time of booking or at Check In can I still claim points?
Answer: If you forget to notify us of your Velocity Number at time of booking or at Check In, you will need to contact the Velocity Membership Contact Centre (Tel: 131 875). They will be able to initiate a Missing Claim on your behalf in order to ensure you are credited with the points for your Skywest flight. We recommend that you retain your Skywest Boarding Pass in order to pass on all required details to the Velocity MCC Representative.
Question: How long does it take for the points to appear on my Velocity Account Statement?
Answer: Points should appear on your account within 7 to 14 days of your date of travel.
Question: How long do I have to claim my Points if my Membership Number was not advised to Skywest at time of booking?
Answer: A Velocity Member will have 3 months from the date of their Skywest flight to claim for points missing from their account if they were a Member at the time of the flight.
Question: Can I claim points for Skywest flights that were taken before I became a Velocity member?
Answer: Velocity Members can claim points for Skywest flights taken up to 30 days before they became a member providing that the applicable days are not earlier than November 2nd 2007.
